Fun, Interactive, Relateable Learning
I am writing to commend you on the quality of the training modules offered on the ELC site. Since subscribing to the service 4 years ago we have used it for almost every new staff member joining our company; reception, business development, technician, project manager. When we initially subscribed we made it a weekly meeting (lunch on Thursday afternoons) in our education room where we would watch one complete module with all available staff. This made it a fun and interactive learning session where, after viewing, staff would comment on the topic and relate it to our everyday business experiences.
Some of the modules we find most valuable are;
Customer Service – Steve Toburen
Construction and Estimating – David Rosebrook and Ben Looper
Sales – Howard Olsen
These are just a few of the valuable modules that we have used as part of the training within our company. We use some of the more job-specific modules for the technical positions.
Congratulation on a great product. It has definitely helped our company grow and improve our service offering.

Practical and Cost Efficient Way to Train and Improve
I just wanted to let you know how impressed we are with the ELC training modules. Our company PDS Windsor- Essex has been using this training program for over 3 years now.
As a corporation we strive to improve every day and have found that the ELC modules are a practical and cost efficient way to accomplish this. New employee must complete the Contents Cleaning, Customer Service and the Vortex Drying modules during their orientation. The employees, once they have completed their probationary period, complete the other modules over time. I can proudly tell you that all of our employees have completed most modules as it relates to their own position.
I would recommend (and have) the use of the ELC training modules to any restoration contractor, as it certainly has made my life easier. As you know demands on our time are always at a premium and finding the time to teach, instruct, share information and knowledge always seems to be the areas that get pushed back. ELC is the tool that we use to ensure that this does not happen to us!
Phil, I can’t wait to see the next generation of training modules.

Affordable, All-encompassing Comprehensive Program
ELC training provides an additional and alternative method of training outside of the IICRC technical aspect of the industry training. After the initial 1st year of using ELC, yearly renewals are minimal in cost and encompasses a multitude of training seminars dedicated to our specific industry and specific job classifications, and all personnel within the organization. Clear, in-depth instructions, point by point tips to provide and ensure complete customer satisfaction, engaged staff and better business practices.
This training is extremely beneficial as it is used in-house, at our leisure, able to stop, interrupt and continue the segments when able. If we are busy, we reschedule without loss of attendance or deposits. It does not require staff to leave our office, zero travel expenses, time off..etc. All training, viewed in our boardroom, can be accessed by one individual or a multitude of staff can attend. Furthermore, specific tests completed and passed are recognized by the IICRC as a CEC towards your on-going yearly IICRC course requirement. We are able to select and choose training for various individuals, such as the Emergency techs, Rebuild department, Project Managers, Receptionist and owners alike. Each one of these seminars offers the best of the best in training, as the ELC program enlists speakers that are masters at their trade, confiding and sharing information pooled from years within this business.
ELC training is a common practice within our organization. Although the staff would appreciate some new material, as when seen twice yearly for 4 years, the material can appear somewhat repetitive. However, we as owners recognize that each time they re-view the program, they are once again changed, optimistic, more motivated and refreshed on utilizing and providing proper customer standards. Please find a list of benefits below;
– Easy to operate, install and user friendly
– Renewals are affordable
– All-encompassing comprehensive program
– Able to select and choose categories
– Training available for every job classification
– CEC credits accredited
– Easy to understand
– Defined to specific industry
– Available for 12 months
– No travel away from work, away from home
We hope that we have assisted in providing you our feedback about the ELC. It is a method of training that gives us an opportunity to stay focussed and mindful of improper behaviors at a glance. Each one of us has learned some valuable insight to doing our jobs better, easier and possibly hassle free. It has been our pleasure to share our thoughts with you. Safe travels….

The Solution to Our Training Challenges
Paul Davis Systems of Red Deer was introduced to the ELC Training modules while we were a client of Business Mentors.
Like many companies, we were struggling with managing the many details that go into growing an organization and were searching for a training program that could assist us in providing educational opportunities to our staff.
We looked at various training models and programs, but consistently found them to be too expensive, too labour intensive to implement, or simply didn’t cover the topics and scenarios that were pertinent to our business and customers.
When I first viewed the modules of the ELC training program, I was certain we had found many of the components we were looking for and was excited by how it offered topics that were pertinent to everyone in my company – from Project Managers to field staff! When I reviewed the ease of administration and implementation of the program, as well as the cost, I was convinced we had found a solution to our training challenges.
My staff found the modules on customer service particularly powerful, and even motivational. The components on Project Management are instrumental in handling large loss projects, and offer great reminders and additional insight into estimate writing and management. The “owner’s” section does a great job of covering topics that are critical to managing my business.
Overall, we have been very pleased with the program and consider it to be a valuable resource to our success at Paul Davis Systems of Red Deer.

ELC Online Training
I am writing to recommend the content and effectiveness of the Restoration Excellence Series of ELC Online Training. Our office has been utilizing this training program for several years to assist in the development of our staff at all levels.
The large spectrum of topics covered is very beneficial for our business, especially with new hires. As a result of the training, new hires are able to enter the field quickly and confidently. Our experienced personnel also benefit from the program allowing for rejuvenation, and an opportunity to rebuild on the ideas presented in this program.
Paul Davis Systems of Niagara – Haldimand considers training and continuing education as one of our top priorities. The instructors you have chosen to present the material really connect with our employees. The employee engagement to the program is remarkable and has proven to be an extremely positive investment.

One of the most valuable tools in our training toolbox…

We have found the Restoration Excellence Series to be one of the most valuable tools in our training toolbox. Keeping our staff sharp and up to date in our industry is a major priority for our company. The broad range of material suits our needs very well at all levels of our company. Web based material allows a great deal of flexibility. I suspect that we are similar to many other emergency response companies; inevitable downtime or project delays can create some difficult staffing issues. Being able to utilize this training for only an hour or an entire day has added value to our technicians and our company.

I’m sure like most in the industry, training issues have presented an ongoing struggle for our company. Providing a good foundation, for new employees particularly, is an area where we have always found it difficult to establish consistency.
Assembling and delivering an in-house training program that met the different skill levels of our various departments and staff seemed to be an elusive goal that we have certainly attempted, but have never quite achieved.
Training issues are particularly difficult because of our rural location. To find readily available relevant resources is troublesome. This is increasingly challenging as we add the costs of travel, lost production time on top of actual costs of training. Deciding when to make that investment in one of our employees and then finding the match of training and timing has always been a crapshoot of sorts.
The ELC series has been a tremendous addition to our training program. It has given us the ability to establish a consistent and logical learning progression, for new hires particularly, communicating a solid knowledge base in a number of different areas of what is certainly industry specific information. Using the ELC training has helped (and continues to help) in our efforts to bring everyone “up to speed” and put them “on the same page”. Since implementing the ELC program, we have seen a marked improvement in the alignment of our various departments and particularly an improvement in the alignment of our different locations.
The investment was well worth it. I wish you continued success, as your innovative and comprehensive training package has certainly added to ours.
A Great Tool That Improves Our Competitiveness

I wanted to give you a brief synopsis of our experience with the ELC Training Program. When I initially viewed the program, before purchasing the service, I knew it had value to a company like ours. At ISC, we take pride in being ahead of the industry curve. From Industry specific management theory to current drying technology, our goal is always to be at the front of the restoration industry’s evolution. ELC is helping us accomplish that goal. ELC allows us to easily start training new hires and incorporate them into our corporate culture of continuing education and excellence. Even seasoned managers, when coming from outside our unique industry require intensive training in this unusual industry where the learning curve is steep.
All of our current technicians, managers and sales personnel are required to complete training as well, on a prescribed timeline. We are definitely getting our money’s worth. Because the program is web based, our staff can take classes on line from our Chicago, Orlando, Palm Beach or Texas offices. The completed class e mail certifications are sent to me regularly, with pride, by all who complete the courses.
Thanks for a great tool that improves our competiveness.
With your training we were able to secure a $600,000 job!

I wanted to drop a note to say thanks to you and ELC Training. Because of our association with your training we were able to secure a $600,000 job! We have found the training to be a great resource for Crystal Restoration. We recently were awarded a large loss but needed to have specific training for a large group of our staff along with a certificate of completion. This training had to be completed prior to starting the job and we only had a couple of days to complete this training.
With the on-demand feature of your program we were able to fast track the training for our staff and complete this job. We could not have done this without your training program – thank you!
