Overview: Managing a growing office and office staff are very important responsibilities in a restoration company. Many of the measurements outlined in previous sessions will be generated through the office. Office Administration is an essential part of an Exceptional Restoration Company. An essential part of staffing your company is in hiring the right people for the positions and assuring that you follow the proper policies and procedures and implement the best employment practices.
Prior to Bill Good Marketing, the author enjoyed a career in the forensic drug testing industry. He then spent nine years in the cleaning and restoration business where he helped triple one firm’s revenues, An IICRC-certified ethics instructor, he was recognized by the State of Utah as an author and teacher on business ethics and other topics. He is an honors graduate from the University of Phoenix with a double degree in Marketing and Management. Currently, he authors a monthly column and feature articles on topics ranging from marketing surveys to business leadership, Vision and Mission and marketing ethics. He has authored a three-book series on ethics:
- Write Well, Be Well, linking one’s ethical identity with the writing process
- Small Business Ethics, Your Compass for Success, a 300 + page treatise on ending ethical dissonance in the workplace
- Own the Journey, a companion book on personal growth & ethical healing
Employed with BGM since December 2003, he has coached thousands of clients and team members, accruing thousands of hours in coaching. He uses proven TYPE theory to help clients better understand and manage themselves, their teams, customers, and prospective relationships, in addition to providing guidance in marketing, sales and service training. He was recently showcased in an upcoming book on how to become a coach. The author gave the keynote address on business ethics at RIA’s international fall convention in October 2007 and was recently filming for four human resource and legal issue workshops.
